Union’s scout machine strikes again: national champion takes away the first winter transfer from the German fourth division

Has Union found another pearl in the lower echelons of football? In any case, the national champion is presenting his first winter transfer with Mateo Biondic. The 22-year-old striker comes from German fourth division club Eintracht Trier and signs a contract until 2030 in the Dudenpark.
There is no scout machine in our country that manages to unearth unknown gems as often as that of Union.
The national champion has already made millions of euros in profit in recent years by attracting players from the lower classes or lesser-known competitions. Just think of Deniz Undav, Victor Boniface, Gustaf Nilsson or Promise David.
With Mateo Biondic, Union hopes to add another name to that list. The people of Brussels signed the 22-year-old German-Croatian striker from German fourth division club Eintracht Trier.
At the club from the Moselle city, he scored seven goals and five assists in seventeen games in the first round. In his youth, Biondic also played for Schalke and Paderborn, among others.
The attacker signed a contract until 2030 in the Dudenpark. “I am here to grow and serve the team,” he says in an initial response. “As a player I always try to enjoy myself and entertain the fans.”
He may soon be able to do that at the highest level. From the Regionalliga to the Champions League, it can count as a transition.
