The draw for the FIBA ​​U17 Basketball World Cup 2026, which will be hosted by Istanbul between 27 June and 5 July, was held.

TBF Deputy President Harun Erdenay, TBF Board Members, FIBA ​​U17 World Cup Ambassador Semih Erden, representatives of the countries that will compete in the FIBA ​​U17 World Cup and members of the press took part in the draw.

Our national team was matched with New Zealand, Slovenia and Puerto Rico in Group C.

In addition to Türkiye, 16 countries will compete in the tournament, including the USA, Australia, China, Ivory Coast, France, Italy, Japan, Cameroon, Canada, Lithuania, Puerto Rico, Serbia, Slovenia, Venezuela and New Zealand.

The groups in the FIBA ​​U17 World Cup were formed as follows:
Group A: Italy, USA, France and Japan
Group B: Cameroon, Canada, Lithuania and China
Group C: New Zealand, Slovenia, Puerto Rico and Türkiye
Group D: Venezuela, Australia, Serbia and Ivory Coast
