U15 & U19 C Ranking Tournament – Neustadt an der Orla

On January 10, 2026, the youth badminton C ranking tournament in the U15 and U19 age groups took place in Neustadt an der Orla. Numerous young talents competed for the host club Blau-Weiß Neustadt an der Orla and showed great commitment and a lot of team spirit – both in the singles and in the doubles competitions.

U15 – Strong performances and valuable tournament experience

Franz Makurath, Mira Lemmrich, Sophia Holstein, Emma Tietze and Pia Hädrich took part in the U15 age group. Everyone showed fighting spirit, improved over the course of the tournament and gained important competition practice.

  • Mira Lemmrich – Platz 11

The players also competed with great commitment in the doubles:

Also Franz Makurath competed in doubles and achieved 7th place with his partner from Hermsdorf.

U19 – Good placings in a strong field of participants

In the U19 age group, Lynn Kraft, Johanna Oertel and Hanna Abendschein competed in the individual event. All three showed safe batting techniques and committed playing style.

Conclusion

Even if it wasn’t enough for top placements, all the players impressed with their commitment, their team spirit and the visible progress on the field. The tournament was a valuable experience for all participants and an important step in their sporting development. Blau-Weiß Neustadt an der Orla is proud of the achievements of its young badminton talents and is looking forward to the upcoming competitions.
