Transfer News: Club Talks Confirmed

Supporters do not have to fear the departure of one of the star players in the winter transfer window, technical director Earnest Stewart has already announced.

However, one of the great talents from the youth academy seems to be in his last weeks at PSV and another growth talent may be leaving.

Several Jong PSV attackers could leave in January. Nineteen-year-old Robin van Duiven is particularly popular. He is scoring big this season in the Kitchen Champion Division. His numbers are impressive: 14 goals in 20 league matches. However, Van Duiven has an expiring contract and can count on interest from home and abroad.

Van Duiven says so Football International open to finishing the season at Jong PSV and then leaving on a free transfer. However, a departure in January is also a possibility, Stewart acknowledges. “We are in discussions with a club and when directors talk to each other, it is concrete,” says the technical director.

The Israeli Tai Abed (21) has been offered on the transfer market by PSV. He can leave for ‘a few thousand euros’. However, Stewart says that nothing concrete is happening yet around the wing attacker.

At the same time, PSV would like to renew with eighteen-year-old Dele Thomas, who is making a strong impression with the promising team this season. He was actually supposed to travel to the training camp in Estepona, but he called in sick. Like Van Duiven, Thomas has an expiring contract and has also been linked with a move to Ajax.

The youth international of Orange has no complaints about interest. PSV would like to sign him for longer, but it is still unclear whether that will work. Thomas was picked up from Feyenoord’s youth academy in 2023. He has scored 3 goals and 6 assists in 18 league games so far this season.
