Totally crazy evening at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome in the round of 16 of the Coppa Italia, where Roma were overthrown by Torino (2-3) at the end of a breathtaking scenario. Well in place, Marco Baroni’s men struck first thanks to a double from Che Adams (35th, 52nd), putting the Giallorossi under heavy pressure. Roma, however, was able to react after the break with Hermoso’s quick equalizer (46th), then coming back to the level at the end of the match thanks to young Antonio Arena (81st), completely restarting an already electric match.
But as we headed towards extra time, Emirhan Ilkhan appeared in added time (90th) to offer a spectacular qualification to Torino, at the end of a completely unbridled match. A huge blow for the Granata, while Gasperini’s Roma leaves the competition with a lot of regrets after an evening as intense as it was cruel.
