Tobu Jr. High Basketball: Shin Kurushima & Fujishiro Support Event

Thank you for your continued support.

Phoenix Co., Ltd. is pleased to announce that as part of the community and social contribution project “PROJECT 8” led by front desk staff member Atsuya Ota, we held an event to provide practice guidance and donate basketball equipment to the Toyokawa Municipal Tobu Junior High School basketball club on Sunday, January 25th.

On the day of the event, we visited Tobu Junior High School, Ota’s alma mater, and donated original T-shirts, basketball equipment, etc. with the cooperation of companies that support PROJECT8.
Additionally, from the perspective of dietary education, we wanted to convey to growing children the importance of improving their athletic ability and building bodies that are less likely to get injured, so we handed out freshly harvested vegetables to our club members, donated by local farmers such as Matsui Farm, an agricultural company in Toyohashi City.

About Atsuya Ota’s community contribution project “PROJECT 8”

PROJECT 8 is a community and social contribution project by front staff member Atsuya Ota.
Based on our desire to express our gratitude and give back to the people in our local community who have supported us in the past, we will work with local communities and businesses to carry out activities that bring vitality to the community and society.
This project also includes the hope that the children who will be responsible for the next generation will learn more deeply about the charm of their local area, and that they will be interested and proud of it.
Through basketball, we will create a natural opportunity for people to think, “I want to live here in my hometown” and “I want to work here,” and embody Phoenix Co., Ltd.’s corporate philosophy of “For smiles for 100 years to come.”
