Loire-Atlantique: a family punctuated by football
First of all, there is the elder Mathieu. He was 6 years old when he started playing football at Étoile sportif jovéenne in 2004. He begins its 22nd season as a player and has also been an active board member since 2021.
The younger brother, Baptistestarted playing football in 2008, at age 6. He played for six years for the Voltigeurs de Châteaubriant clubbefore returning to Teillé-Mouzeil-Ligné and Joué-sur-Erdre to obtain his football instructor certificate. He is currently employed at the ESJ to take care of young people.
Finally, there is the youngest family, Theowho started at ESJ at 5 years old, in 2010. Like his two brothers, he never stopped playing football and he begins its 16th season at Joué-sur-Erdre.
In this brotherhood, we must not forget the dad, Didierwho has been coach of the ESJ since 2017. He spent a long time in his youth at the Saint-Sulpice-des-Landes club. In this family of footballers, Sophie, the mother, must have heard about football all day long.
As for the result, the match on December 14 ended in a draw (1-1) thanks to Théo Colou’s equalizer in the last minute. At the break, the A seniors are ranked first in D4.
