Exhausting weeks are on the agenda for FC Bayern icon Thomas Müller. He has returned to Canada.
Vancouver – A few weeks before Christmas, an absolute club legend from FC Bayern showed up in beautiful Munich. The tears after losing the MLS championship final had dried and the 36-year-old was looking forward to an extended Christmas vacation with his family. Fans also got to see a rare photo with his wife Lisa. But now it’s time to put an end to free time, because duty calls.
Curling, wild party nights in the Bavarian capital, a visit to the Allianz Arena, indulgent feasts on the specialty shelves at home – Thomas Müller has been able to enjoy life to the fullest in the last few weeks. Since the 36-year-old is by no means thinking about ending his career, he is now dedicating himself to football professionalism again.
Bayern legend Thomas Müller returns
The world champion shows himself on Instagram in blue training clothes, which can only mean one thing: he is back with the Vancouver Whitecaps. After losing the MLS final, Müller announced that he really wanted to win another title with his new club. There will be a new attack in 2026, the motivation is huge.
Müller writes: “The Vancouver Whitecaps’ preparation for the season has begun. We have set ourselves big goals for the upcoming season. So get going. True to the motto: ‘Dream big and work hard.’ It’s nice to be back on the training pitch…” He stands on the training pitch with his gloves and hat all wrapped up.
However, one detail is surprising: Müller says he is in Spain. No wrong information, because: The Whitecaps are currently in Marbella to prepare for the new season. The MLS runner-up also provides a funny moment because some stars are asked how often they have already completed a training camp.
When Müller receives the information that he should not only add up FC Bayern’s summer and winter preparations, but also those of the national team, he shouts in horror: “Oh, stop it!” After counting for minutes, he ends up somewhere around 40 – 25 years as a professional, which adds up to a lot. But his motivation to win titles still seems to be as high as it was on the first day. (is)
