McDonald’s will open its second location in Posadas, this time in Bolívar almost San Lorenzo, in a location that faces the street and is part of the shopping center.
After opening its first location in 2019 at Hiper Libertad, now the second location will also be run by Martin “Tero” García, who will once again open a location with the franchise system.
McDonald’s, probably the most popular franchise in the world, opens its own stores and with the franchise system, by which an investor/entrepreneur, in this case García, is in charge of hiring the staff and managing the store, respecting the strict quality standards of the brand (the franchisor).
García was a professional tennis player, he stood out especially in doubles, where he became number 1 in the ATP ranking. As a singles player, he reached 21st place in the ranking. García is married to an innkeeper, María Cantero, and decided years ago to start a business and live in Misiones.
Another franchise that he brought to the city is Havana, whose location is located in Colón and Santa Fe.
An interesting fact about García’s little-known career is that he beat 3 of the greatest tennis players in history, and those who dominated tennis in the last 20 years, playing in doubles: Rafael Nadal, Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic.
“They were among the 10 or 15 in the world, I beat Djokovic at Wimboledon, I beat Federer at the Cincinatti Master Series and with Nadal it was when he won his first ATP in Poland, in the doubles quarterfinals I had to face him and I was lucky to beat him,” he said in 2019, in the program “Basta de Todo”, hosted by Manuel Argañaraz and Ramiro Sandoval.
New jobs
According to Channel 12, this new location will employ approximately 80 people.
In this way, Posadas will have its second McDonald’s. It also has two Mostaza stores, the first opened in Hiper Libertad and the second, in the downtown area (located in San Lorenzo, almost on the corner of Bolivar).
The hamburger brand that has not yet reached the red land is Burguer King, which is present in Encarnación.
