Fenerbahçe officially announced that an agreement was reached on the transfer of Sebastian Szymanski to Stade Rennais FC, one of the French Ligue 1 teams. In a post on its social media accounts, the yellow-dark blue club thanked the Polish football player for his efforts and wished him success in the next period of his career.
The 26-year-old Polish midfielder, one of the names not considered in Fenerbahçe’s squad, thus said goodbye to the yellow-dark blue team. According to the news in the French press, Fenerbahçe and Rennais shook hands over a transfer fee of approximately 9.5 million euros, and it was stated that the agreement also included a 1 million euro bonus clause.

Szymański, who was transferred to Fenerbahçe for a transfer fee of 9.75 million euros in the 2023 summer transfer period, played an important role, especially in offensive organizations, in the yellow-dark blue jersey. The Polish player, who had his brightest period under the management of İsmail Kartal, fell below expectations during the periods of Jose Mourinho and the new coach Domenico Tedesco.
The 26-year-old football player, whose market value decreased to 12 million euros during this period, played in 134 official matches with the Fenerbahçe jersey and performed with 22 goals and 30 assists.
