Everything has to be done again for Pallacanestro Trieste in the Champions League which, after having conquered the Szolnoki pitch, leaves the way for their opponents in Valmaura in the return match. We will therefore return to Hungary in race 3, the decisive one for going through to the round which would be worth a place among the best 16 of the event. Trieste spent the entire match chasing, expending a lot of energy and when it was time to battle it out point by point in the final, they gave in again. From minus 21 in the second to plus one in the last. But, as mentioned, in the last five minutes they only managed to score four points.
For Trieste the injured Ross and Sissoko on the bench only for the honor of signing and the usual Iannuzzi who the coach does not give the chance to enter.

The Hungarians, however, do not give up and always remain ahead, even by seven points. Uthoff scores the score 54-56. Darthard promptly replies from three. Great player, he will finish with 33 points resulting from 5/8 twos, 5/10 threes, 8/8 free throws and five rebounds. Moretti first from beyond the arc and then with two free throws gives the score 66-67 with 12″ to go. At the siren however Samogyi from three pushes Trieste back. Last interval therefore at 66-70.
Trieste starts well in the last quarter, Deangeli scores the first home advantage: 71-70. Ramsey makes the second and last three of the game: 74-73. Brown at -5’29” scores 76-78. Then the home team collapses, suffering an 11-4 run which costs them the defeat. And with it the crowd boos the team.
