Switzerland Football Fraud: €180K Embezzlement Scandal

The ESC Erstfeld is not otherwise known for big headlines. The Swiss club maintains a niche existence in the seventh division of its country. But now a scandal within the club is causing a stir across national borders. The club’s treasurer embezzled funds amounting to 173,296 Swiss francs (around 189,000 euros) from January 2024 to November 2025. This emerges from a press release from the club on Tuesday.

Erstfeld was previously confronted with the allegations by “Blick” on Monday. According to the Swiss tabloid’s report, “he evaded the money for OnlyFans and porn sites.” An unnamed informant is quoted by the newspaper. The association first informed the members at an extraordinary general meeting before making a public statement on Tuesday.

It says: “On November 19, 2025, the board of ESC Erstfeld accidentally discovered that transactions had been carried out on the club’s accounts in the past that could not be assigned to the club’s operations. On the same day, the board took various security measures to protect the club’s assets from further financial damage. With the professional support of third parties, the matter was subsequently dealt with.”

The treasurer was “relieved of all his duties with immediate effect.” The club said he was “cooperative” in discussions and signed a repayment agreement. “In this, he undertakes to repay the misappropriated amount in full and thereby hold the club harmless in the long term,” the statement says. The club did not confirm whether the money was actually used for OnlyFans subscriptions or porn. It was said in general terms that it had been used for “personal purposes”.
