The 60th NFL Super Bowl matchup was decided between the New England Patriots and the Seattle Seahawks. The two teams will meet in the final match 11 years after the 49th Super Bowl clash in 2015.

New England defeated the Denver Broncos 10-7 in the AFC Championship on the 26th (Korean time). Seattle defeated the Los Angeles Rams 31-27 in the NFC Championship.

11 years ago, Seattle lost 24-28 when Malcolm Butler lost a pass 1 yard from the goal line just before the end.

New England is averaging 8.7 points allowed in three postseason games. This is the highest level of defense since the Baltimore Ravens in 2000. Coach Mike Breable, a former team member, advanced to the Super Bowl in his first season in office. Second-year pro quarterback Drake May (23 years old) became the second-youngest Super Bowl starting quarterback in history.

Seattle’s key player is quarterback Sam Darnold. Playing for his fifth team since being selected third overall in the 2018 draft, he played well in the championship with 346 yards passing and three touchdowns.

The two teams will clash for the Vince Lombardi Trophy on February 9 at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara. New England aims to win a total of 7 times, and Seattle aims to win 2 times.
