NewTuscia – VITERBO – After two short breaks for the holidays, activity in the WeCOM-Ortoetruria gym resumed at full speed in preparation for the resumption of the championship.
On Sunday, the Biancostellati observed the rest period foreseen by the calendar and next Sunday they will not take the field because the initial program would have seen them engaged against Ferentino, a team that however withdrew from the tournament at the beginning of the season.
A very long break for the Tuscia team who will return to the field almost a month after the last match on December 21st which saw them beat Nuovo Basket L’Aquilano away.
In fact, we will return to the parquet on January 18th, when Scandone Avellino will arrive in Viterbo, considered by all to be the best equipped team for the jump in category.
“We would have gladly avoided this long break – declares the management – which certainly breaks the rhythm and sees us away from the competitive atmosphere of the matches for too long, but it must be said that this forced stop allows us to recover from some physical problems that we have dragged into the last month of the year. The second round will open with a very important challenge for which we are preparing as best we can, even with double training sessions on holidays. We know that from now on every match will be fundamental for achieving the objective we have set ourselves and for which we intend to fight as hard as we can, trying to improve the progress of the first round”.
In the planned preparation program, Stella Azzurra will be involved this evening in Terni in a friendly match against ESSETI Basket, currently second in the standings in group M of Serie C.
