1- In December 2025, allegations of serious misconduct against Stefan Kuntz were brought to the attention of the Supervisory Board of HSV Futball Management AG. As per its responsibilities, the Supervisory Board launched an investigation into the events immediately after learning of the allegations, with the support of expert lawyers. After careful examination, the allegations were found to be credible, and the Supervisory Board took immediate action to terminate the contract of Board Member Stefan Kuntz as soon as possible. Due to the clear request of the persons concerned, their protection has been and remains the highest priority in this process.
2- Based on this information and especially taking into account the allegations made against him, Stefan Kuntz accepted that his employment will be terminated effective from 31 December 2025. He was represented by his lawyer during this process. Mr. Kuntz flatly refused the opportunity to make a statement to the Board of Supervisors, despite being repeatedly offered to do so. In this context, the allegations of a “smear campaign” against Stefan Kuntz are clearly unfounded and misleading.
3- Regardless of the hierarchical level, HSV does not tolerate any such abuse and opposes all forms of discrimination by strictly adhering to the values of tolerance and respect contained in its charter. The Supervisory Board considered it important to act quickly and decisively in this situation. “As always, protecting the personal rights of the individuals concerned is HSV’s top priority.”
