Sportif Basketball Wins: 60-36 Victory

In the U14 Men’s Basketball League 2025-2026 season, Sportif Basketball became the undefeated Malatya champion with its outstanding performance.

The final match was played between Sportive Basketball and Stars Basketball teams on December 21 at Tecde Sports Hall. Sportive Basketball, which was in control of the game from the beginning to the end of the match, defeated its opponent 60-36 and finished the season on top.

With this important success, Sportive Basketball gained the right to represent Malatya in the Regional Championship to be held in Mardin between 3-7 February. The yellow-black team aims to participate in the Anatolian Championship by being successful in this tournament.

“This Success is the Product of Teamwork”

In his statement after the championship, team coach Eray Evliyaoğlu stated that they had an intense preparation process since the summer period and used the following statements:

“We became undefeated champions in the U14 League, for which we have been preparing intensively since the summer. This great success is entirely a product of teamwork. I would like to thank our club president Sema Evliyaoğlu, as well as our club coaches Temel Ceylan, Kübra Özalp Öğüt, Batuhan Toplar and Büşra Yiğit, for their efforts and outstanding efforts.”

Evliyaoğlu also thanked the parents and Seyit Şencan who supported the team throughout the season and said, “The biggest share in this great success belongs to our athletes.”

Championship Without Sponsorship

Pointing out that one of the most striking aspects of the championship was that it was won entirely with the club’s own resources, without any sponsorship support, Evliyaoğlu emphasized that this was a proud situation for the club.

While Sportive Basketball sets an important example for Malatya basketball with its success in infrastructure, all eyes are now on the Regional Championship to be held in Mardin.
