With an eye on Pernambucano’s debut, Sport’s U20 team played, on the afternoon of this Tuesday (6), the last training game before the match against Jaguar, next Saturday (10). Against Serra Branca-PB, at CT do Leão, the red and black team won 2-1, with goals from Micael and Augusto Pucci.
In a well-fought game, in which the Leões da Base attacked a lot, the team from Paraíba managed to score the first goal after a counterattack in the middle of the first half. Undeterred, Leão continued to have offensive volume and seek a reaction.
In the second stage, the incision was maintained, but with greater efficiency. After a good play on the right side, Micael completed a cross and tied. Continuing on top, the turnaround seemed like a matter of time and it happened soon after. Good offensive transition from the red-black attack and a goal from Augusto Pucci, which defined the score.
Sport’s Under-20 coach, Alexandre Oliveira commented on the training game and the progress of the preparation for the debut of the State Championship.
“We faced a quality team, which has a strong investment within Paraíba football and our team managed to have a good performance, solid in defense, with offensive volume and plenty of balance. We know the responsibility we have in Pernambucano’s debut and the preparation is completely focused on representing Sport in the best way”, said the coach.
