He has reached a relevant contract with the Xinjiang Men’s Basketball Club. The club is actively going through the procedures with CBA. When the procedures are completed, he will guide the Xinjiang Men’s Basketball Team as an executive coach.
“I have paid close attention to Xinjiang in the past three seasons and am very familiar with the team’s tactics and the characteristics of the team members. Next, my primary goal is to concentrate on training and make our team better and better through training and studying game videos.” Gran told reporters.

Gran is a Croatian basketball coach. He pays attention to details and is good at tapping the potential of players. He has an excellent reputation in the domestic basketball community.
In November 2022, Gran assisted Djordjevic as the assistant coach of the Chinese men’s basketball team. In January 2025, he returned to the Chinese basketball world and joined the Beijing Enterprises Men’s Basketball Team as an assistant coach, assisting head coach Min Lulei. In March 2025, Grant acted as the head coach of Beijing Enterprises Men’s Basketball Team and was responsible for team training, game command and on-the-spot tactical arrangements.
Under Grant’s coaching, the Beijing Enterprises men’s basketball team was completely transformed. When he took over the team, the team had a record of 22 wins and 16 losses, ranking 11th in the CBA standings. On January 11, Xinjiang will face Jiangsu Kendia at home. If the relevant procedures can be completed on the morning of the 11th, Gran will become the team’s executive coach.
