SP in alpine skiing Špindlerův Mlýn today – program for Saturday, January 24 without Petra Vlhová
The giant slalom in Špindlerův Mlýn today, i.e. Saturday 24 January, started with the first round at 10:00 a.m., the second round is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Unfortunately, Petra Vlhová, who won the race here last time, back in 2019, has not yet started in the Czech resort.
However, another Slovak appeared on the slope, namely Rebeka Jančová. Federica Brignone prioritized recovery, while Sofia Goggia prioritized speed. Just four days ago, the Austrian Julia Scheib was the most successful in Kronplatz, see how it will be this time in the live broadcast on Tipsport TV.

Women’s giant slalom – results of the 1st round
Here we present the ranking of the fastest 15 female racers after the 1st round in the giant slalom in Spindleruv Mlyn. It was won by the Swede Sara Hector with a narrow margin of 2 hundredths of a second ahead of the Swiss Camille Rast, the Austrian Julia Scheib finished third. Our Rebeka Jančová took 38th place with a loss of more than 4 seconds to the winner and did not advance to the 2nd round.

The second round of the 2025/26 women’s World Cup in alpine skiing, already the eighth, starts shortly in the afternoon. After it ends, you can find its results here; the top 30 female skiers start in the opposite order compared to how they finished in the first round.

Austrian skier Julia Scheib is considered to be the biggest favorite of the giant slalom in Špindlerův Mlýn. According to the odds, the leader of the overall ranking of the given discipline is followed by the Swiss Camille Rast, second overall in the round within the SP.
