Slovenia Ski Jumping: Olympic Qualifiers & Results

Updated 10.56 | Published 10.36

Just over a month to go until the Olympics in Milan and Cortina – then the blue and yellow stars continue to chase after the slalom form.

Both Anna Swenn-Larsson and Sara Hector have a good distance to the podium after the first race in Kranjska Gora.

Slalom specialist Anna Swenn-Larsson had a nice first run going in Slovenia, but a fatal mistake at the end saw her lose around a second. She is eighth and is 1.28 seconds behind leader Camille Rast, Switzerland. Up to third place, she has around half a second.

In ninth place is Cornelia Öhlund (+1.41).

Sara Hector is primarily an Olympic hopeful in giant slalom – she won gold in Beijing 2022 – and on Saturday she finished fourth in the discipline in Kranjska Gora. This despite the fact that she had a “substantial cold”, according to Viaplay.

During Sunday, Hector felt somewhat better, but it was tough on the hill and she is 1.62 seconds behind leader Rast before the second run. Hector is eleven.

Mikaela Shiffrin has won five out of five World Cup slalom events this season. The American is second in Slovenia – only a tenth behind Rast, who won Saturday’s giant slalom.

Estelle Alphand (+1.93), Hanna Aronsson Elfman (+3.06) and Moa Landström (+3.29) also get to drive the second run, which starts at 12.15.
