After a busy summer, Sigma Olomouc stepped on the gas even more during the winter break and brought (or is still administratively finalizing) six new players to its squad, including Péter Baráth (23) for 2 million euros and the cheaper Jakub Jezierský (21) for 235 thousand euros. And it’s far from over. How much has she already paid for the transfers?
According to information from foreign journalists or sources inFotbal.cz Sigma invested over 8.8 million euros in winter reinforcements. It should be added that bonuses may be added to some amounts stated, especially abroad.
Either way, the conversion is around 214 million crowns. And this means that general sports manager Pavel Hapal still has enough funds for further purchases.
As he reported inFotbal already in mid-December, Olomouc’s budget for transfers is around 300 million crowns.
At the same time, further reinforcements are on the lookout. There is speculation about Louis Lurvinka (23) from Pardubice, whom Pardubice do not want to sell and recently rejected an offer of 1 million euros from Baník Ostrava. However, the player himself was supposed to show interest in a transfer, which could speed up the deal.
For how much? There is talk of a figure of around 2 million euros. We have another almost 50 million crowns.
Sigma’s new scouting department is following other players not only in the Czech Republic, but also in Poland and Scandinavia. Most of them are on the sheet rather with a view of summer.

Will Sejk stay in the Netherlands?
According to iSport.cz, the situation surrounding striker Václav Sejek is getting complicated. Although he has had a successful appendectomy, the high blood test values do not yet allow him to undergo a complete medical examination, including stress tests.
Sigma has an agreement with Heerenveen on the transfer, but due to the high amount (1.8 million euros + 200 thousand euros in bonuses) it cannot conclude the transfer without a final medical verdict. If the situation does not improve quickly, there is a risk that Sejk will remain in the Netherlands until at least the summer.
