Miami Heat ended its opponent’s 5-game winning streak by defeating the Western Conference leader Oklahoma City Thunder 122-120 in the match where Bam Adebayo broke a career record and Andrew Wiggins made a critical three-pointer.
The match played at Kaseya Center witnessed one of the most competitive matches of the season. Playing without an important name like Tyler Herro, Miami Heat did not step back against the last champion Oklahoma City Thunder.
The star of the night was Bam Adebayo. The player behind the basket displayed one of the best shooting performances of his career, hitting 6 out of 10 three-pointers and finishing the match with 30 points and 12 rebounds. The move that brought the victory came from Andrew Wiggins. Wiggins put his team ahead with a critical three-pointer with 31 seconds left and ended the game with 15 points. Norman Powell also played an important role in the victory with his 19-point contribution.
On the Oklahoma City Thunder front, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander was unstoppable again. Even though the star player supported his team by scoring 39 points, he could not prevent the defeat. In the last second of the game, Alex Caruso tried to make a three-pointer for the victory, but could not find the hit. With this result, Thunder’s 5-game winning streak ended, while Miami Heat boosted their morale with this critical victory at home.
