Thousands and thousands of runners have been preparing for the Seville Half Marathon for months. There are many who have preferred to limit the nougats and powders this Christmas in order to arrive ready for the event. This sporting event brings together around 20,000 athletes from all over Spain and even the world. Many of these participants repeat every year, but little by little there are more who face the new challenge of running through the streets of the capital of Seville.
Categories
Within the race, there are up to 14 different categories within the same race. For the youngest, the categories stand out Sub 20, Sub 23 y Seniorwhich includes from 22 years to 35. From 35 onwards, each category is included every 5 years: Master 35, Master 40, Master 45, Master 50, Master 55, Master 60, Master 65 y Master 70. It should be remembered that in each category there will be a distinction by gender.
Minimum time
All participants must finish the race in a maximum of 3 hours, before the Closing of the finish line at 12:00 p.m.. In this way, runners must maintain, at most, the pace set by the end of the race. This is transmitted at a speed of about 8 kilometers per hour.
Dorsal
It is important that each runner use your number, otherwise the athlete will not be able to run. This is the identifying element of each runner, necessary to access the start and finish area. The organization requests that it be located at the front and visible throughout the race. Furthermore, thanks to the chip that is inserted in it, the runner will be able to know their times officially.
Recognizing of dosal
Throughout this week, the runner will have to collect your number at the Expo-Feria del Corredor. This fair is located at FIBES, during the two days prior to the event. Both the Friday the 23rd like Saturday the 24th The site will be open uninterruptedly 10.00 am to 8.00 pm. The organization reminds that, for organizational reasons, the runner’s numbers and bag cannot be collected on the day of the test.
To collect the bib it is mandatory present the receipt or copy of the registration and identity document (DNI, passport or driving license) and with this, the runner’s bag can be removed. In it, there is a finisher t-shirt and different gifts provided by the sponsors.
In case of not being able to pick it up, someone else can pick it up on behalf of the participant as long as they bring the necessary documents: receipt or copy of the registration, photocopy of the holder’s identity document and the authorization model.
