Day two of the Sepang Shakedown test is complete, with Jack Miller taking the new Yamaha V4 to the top of the timesheets.
After being absent on the first day – like the Monster Energy factory duo, Fabio Quartararo and Alex Rins – Miller immediately shot to the top of the timesheets with a lap time of 1 minute 57.908 seconds in the final hour of the second day.
The Pramac racer’s best lap surpassed the only other lap with a time of 1 minute 57 seconds achieved by the leader of the standings, Pol Espargaro (KTM).
Day one leader Aleix Espargaro slipped to a fairly close third for Honda (+0.158 seconds).
Quartararo, making his first appearance since reports he had signed a contract to join Honda in 2027, and Rins completed the three Yamaha riders in the top five.
Rookie and defending WorldSBK champion, Toprak Razgatlioglu, is 0.897 seconds behind his teammate, Miller, in seventh position.
Toprak’s rookie rival at LCR Honda, Diogo Moreira, also improved his best record on the first day, but remains 2.022 seconds behind the top.
Mika Kallio was more than six seconds behind, but expected testing with the KTM ‘850cc’ package.
The third and final day of the Shakedown will take place tomorrow, followed by the official Sepang test from February 3-5.

The top spot remained unchanged during the lunch break. Pol Espargaro is still the fastest, followed by Aleix Espargaro, Dani Pedrosa and Toprak Razgatlioglu.
However, Jack Miller has now recorded a time of under 1 minute 58 seconds and is only a few tenths of a second behind his Pramac teammate, Razgatlioglu.
Meanwhile in Indonesia, Valentino Rossi finally tried the Mandalika circuit for the first time.

Entering the middle of the second day, Pol Espargaro from KTM surpassed his older brother, Aleix from the Honda test team, and became the first racer to record a lap time of 1:57.
WorldSBK champion Toprak Razgatlioglu continued his strong start to day two by breaking the mark of 1 minute 58 seconds and is now less than a second from the top of the standings.
After missing day one, Monster Yamaha riders Fabio Quartararo and Alex Rins have joined Miller to make their 2026 MotoGP debut.

The second day has started with Aleix Espargaro breaking his best time on Thursday in the first hour, half a second ahead of his younger brother, Pol Espargaro (KTM).
Toprak Razgatlioglu is already half a second faster than on day one, while Pramac team-mate Jack Miller has completed his first lap of the year.
