Senegal Win AFCON: Historic Final & Shock Exit

Senegal and host Morocco qualified for the African Cup of Nations final. The giant final was played at the Prince Moulay Abdallah Stadium in Rabat at 22.00 CET and witnessed a match that will not be forgotten for years to come.

The regular time of the match was about to end goalless. Morocco won a penalty at 90+11 after VAR review, but Senegal reacted and went to the dressing room. Senegal then took the field. En Nesyri gave the ball to Brahim Diaz to take the penalty, but Diaz missed the penalty and the match went to extra time.

Senegal won with the goal scored by Gueye in the 106th minute and became the champion in Morocco. Senegal won the championship for the second time in its history after 2021.
