Senegal vs Morocco: Fan Clashes & Penalty Chaos – AFCON 2024

Completely astonishing images. In an electric end to the match after the penalty awarded to Morocco at the end of added time of the CAN 2025 final, while everyone had their eyes glued to the field, major incidents broke out in the stands of the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat.

Images taken from the stands of the stadium show real scenes of chaos and violent clashes between Senegalese supporters, in particular members of the very colorful “Douzième Gaïndé” group, and the stewards.

While some supporters seem to want to invade the pitch, some begin to attack stewards and photographers at the foot of the stand, notably with violent blows from chairs. In the tumult, the stand is quickly surrounded by a large security service and several individuals can be seen.

The supporters apprehended by the security services will therefore not have been able to see the coronation of their national team. After the completely missed penalty by Brahim Diaz, Senegal was crowned at the end of extra time thanks to a superb goal from Pape Gueye.
