Sebastian Jacoby has been appearing in the ARD quiz show “Gefragt – Gejagt” since 2013. There he appears as a hunter under the name “Quiz God” and challenges the candidates properly. But behind the scenes, Jacoby has a lot more to offer than just his enormous knowledge of quizzes.

“Asked – Hunted” hunter also has a normal job

Sebastian Jacoby completed his training as an industrial clerk at Germany’s largest steel manufacturer, ThyssenKrupp. When he was fully trained, he began studying economics in Duisburg-Essen and Arkansas State University. However, he never resigned from his job and remained loyal to his employer. Jacoby has been working for the company as a controller since 2008.

What many people don’t know: Before Jacoby took on the quiz, he was on particularly thin ice. He celebrated great success in curling In 2008, he even became European champion with the German mixed team in Kitzbühel.

It is no coincidence that Jacoby is interested in curling. His family has been practicing the sport for the third generation, which is why he was on the ice as a competitive athlete for years. He took part in the U21 World Championships three times and won the bronze medal in 2007. Away from the curling track, Jacoby is active in football and badminton.

The “Asked – Hunted” hunter has this rare passion

When Jacoby isn’t making life difficult for quiz candidates in TV studios, he’s out in the fresh air. On his social media account he repeatedly shows himself in the great outdoors. He also has a very special passion: drinking and collecting rare whiskeys.

But his affinity for quizzes doesn’t really let go of his personal life either. Jacoby enjoys taking part in or hosting pub quizzes. Every now and then he even writes the tricky quiz questions himself. Jacoby is a multiple German quiz champion and knows this area like no other.
