São Paulo Pre-Season: Move to Barra Funda & New Lawn

São Paulo decided to bring forward the end of the pre-season at the Athlete Training Center (CFA) in Cotia. Starting this Wednesday (7), the main squad will return to training at CT da Barra Funda, the traditional headquarters of the club’s professional football activities.

The change in planning, as heard in the report from UOLwas motivated, among other factors, by the internal assessment of the quality of the pitches at CFA de Cotia at the beginning of the season. In recent days, the technical committee and the football department understood that the field conditions were not ideal for the sequence of work, especially at a time of greater physical load and intensity in training.

The situation, according to sources heard by the UOLcaused discomfort among group leaders and members of the technical committee. In contact with the report, São Paulo states that the decision to bring forward the return to the Barra Funda CT was already planned and was motivated merely by a logistical issue.
