Gabigol’s stoppage-time free-kick rescued Santos a 1-1 draw with Corinthians, but the display was dreadful and apathetic.

Gabriel Menino scored four, more interested in arguments than football. Barreal at three and a half was anonymous and Rollheiser at four only marginally better. Miguelito was not rated due to limited minutes.
Robinho Jr at five lifted the crowd. Thaciano at four battled in the air but far from goal. Lautaro Díaz at five worked relentlessly and won the foul that led to the equaliser.
Head coach Juan Pablo Vojvoda was marked two, appointed on 22 August and five months in on Thursday, with his side labelled aimless and lifeless. The derby contrasted Corinthians’ intensity and strategy with a Santos showing likened to a kickabout. The late goal did not mask a woeful performance.
