Sanremo: Floriseum to Pian di Poma – Traffic & Parking Updates

Everything is ready in Sanremo for the passing of the Olympic Flame scheduled for tomorrow. The appointment is at 12.37 circa al Floriseumwhere the torch will leave for a route of approximately 4 km which will cross the city center, to end at Pian di Poma athletics track (ore 13.29 circa), in the presence of the city’s sports associations. Two expected kiss point (exchange of the torch), in front of the Ariston Theatre et al Casino.

The Olympic Flame, after starting at the Floriseum in the gardens of Villa Ormond, will initially travel along Corso Cavallotti and Corso Garibaldi. After Piazza Colombo the torch bearers and the shuttle will pass through Via Matteotti, while the convoy with the larger vehicles will continue along Via B. Ascquasciati, Via Roma and Piazza Cesare Battisti. The reunion will take place in Largo Nuvoloni, from where you will continue along Corso Imperatrice, Via Matuzia and Corso Marconi, up to Via Montà dei Guisci where you will join the cycle/pedestrian path to get to the Pian di Poma athletics field. Traffic will only be interrupted near the passage of the torch, to protect the torchbearers, with the possibility of causing some small slowdowns in the affected areas.

Furthermore, an ordinance was signed by the municipal police which establishes, from 8 am tomorrow morning until the end of the event, a ban on parking on the mountain side of Corso Cavallotti between street numbers 111 and 113, in Corso Imperatrice from the intersection with Via Nuvoloni for 150 linear meters in the west direction, in Via Grande Torino in Pian di Poma in the square in front of the entrance to the athletics track, the football field and the baseball.
