Saint-Affrique Badminton: 2025 Prospects & Exploits

By Le Progrès Saint-Affricain

and 10 January

The year 2025 ends with a harvest of tournament victories, dominant interclubs and friendly moments, with Athletic Sport Badminton already looking towards 2026.

The SAB ends 2025 with a bang with remarkable performances in the Marvejols (end of November) and Monastère (end of December) tournaments. In Marvejols, two male pairs reached the finals (Léno Bonnet and his uncle in series 1, Fabien Barbe/Gauthier Salvan in series 4), while in mixed, Elena Galtier/Léno Bonnet (series 2) and Gauthier Salvan/ Virginie Peyre (series 3) won, ahead of Anthony Loirette and his partner (finalists series 1) or Aurélien Chassagne/Elodie Bertrand (series 6 finalists). At the Monastère, Jonathan Fontaine signs a final in singles series 5, Fabien Barbe/Peppa victory in mixed series 5 and Elena Galtier/Lola Torres in women’s doubles series 3. Results that promise for November 2026.

Young people in orbit, imperial interclubs

The SAB youngsters also shine at the end of November at the CDJ in Millau, with Driss Bonnet (series 2 finalist), Milo Cavadenti Morisset (series 4 finalist), Chloé Traver (series 2 winner) and Anaelle Galtier (series 4 winner for her first). On the interclub side, on December 14, the three teams held their place: team 1 beat Réquista (6-2) and Le Monastère (7-1), team 2 dominated Marvejols (7-1) and Le Monastère (7-1), while team 3 won against Rodez (7-1) and drew at Villefranche. Beyond the podiums, the SAB knows how to celebrate: an internal Christmas tournament brings together around forty members, followed by a festive meal at the Le Pégase restaurant. These moments of sharing embody the spirit of the club, between intense competition and collective joy. Happy New Year 2026 to all badistas and future flyers!
