Ryan Reynolds was the second Hollywood actor to receive the shirt of Internacional de Bogotá, a Colombian club that until recently operated under the name La Equidad and which today faces a profound institutional renovation.
After the acquisition of the capital entity by the Tylis-Porter Group, headed by Albert Tylis and Sam Porter, the Canadian actor, famous for his interpretation of Deadpool, shared a short viral video on social networks in which he displayed the shirt, scarf and a mug of the renewed team, which confirms the Canadian as part of the group of investors.

The phrase chosen to accompany the publication provided a humorous and close tone, in line with Reynolds’ personality: “They sent a t-shirt. A scarf. And a mug. And it arrived after Christmas, which means much more”, words that positioned it for hours as a trend in digital environments.
The media impact of the actor fueled expectations about the new projection of the club, which seeks to establish its brand outside Colombian territory after years without great sporting results.
The new administration made the decision to completely renew the identity: shield, name, colors and uniforms, betting on a modernity that reflects the ambition of the project and connects with new audiences. In the words of Noticias RCN, “the capital club is determined to play a different game: one that is also played on the global stage.”
The team will now be led by Argentine coach Ricardo Valiño, incorporating a reinforced squad with 11 signings ahead of the debut in the first League of 2026. Along with Valiño, the new signings include Emilio Gutiérrez, Larry Vásquez, Facundo Boné, Agustín Irazoque, Johan Caballero, Fabricio Sanguinetti, Kalazan Suárez, Hather Cuesta, Rubén Manjarrés and Johan Castro.

The premiere of Internacional de Bogotá will take place at the Pascual Guerrero stadium in Cali, facing América de Cali, the date and time are to be confirmed.
The purchase operation by the Tylis-Porter group, estimated by sector sources at USD 30 million for 99% of the club, favored the incorporation of international experiences in sports management, in line with previous projects such as Wrexham AFC in the United Kingdom and Necaxa in Mexico.
Maya pointed out that both clubs maintain “almost a weekly call” on sports, financial and commercial issues. In addition, they have strengthened contacts with Wrexham to promote joint learning.

Internacional de Bogotá officially presented its new institutional image and revealed ambitious projections for the year 2026, betting on a comprehensive transformation that goes beyond sports.
The president of the club, Nicolás Maya, assured Forbes that the team is preparing a more experienced squad for next season and that women’s football will receive specific investment. The club also announced that it will be the “first sports club in Bogotá that will have the city brand to represent it around the world”, with the support of the Mayor’s Office, the Bogotá Chamber of Commerce and Invest in Bogotá.
In the recent restructuring phase, Maya recognized that sports results have been “insufficient”, although she highlighted progress in the organizational, financial and commercial structure. “This year has been a mix of positive achievements and not so positive issues. The negative has been the sporting issue, which has had insufficient results,” the leader told Forbes. He explained that the first semester passed with an inherited workforce and that the efforts of the second semester did not offer the expected results either.
The manager stressed that the club managed to strengthen key areas such as commercial, logistics, the coaching staff and the basic forces. He added that Internacional de Bogotá, which replaced La Equidad after the acquisition of the Tylis-Porter group at the beginning of 2025, “It has a very different face than La Equidad was a year ago,” alluding to improvements in aspects such as nutrition, psychology and diet of young players.
