Cercle de Bruges absolutely wants to stay in D1A this season. To do this, Groen & Zwart want to attract a well-known defensive reinforcement in Belgium.
Cercle de Bruges is on a good run with a 7/9 punctuated by a great victory against KVC Westerlo this weekend. The objective is clear at Jan Breydel: maintenance.
But the fight promises to be close until the end, with Dender not giving up and taking three points against Antwerp, and RAAL surprising Bruges on its own turf. Le Cercle therefore knows that the winter transfer window can be crucial.
According to transfer window specialist Rudy Galetti, Cercle de Bruges have a name in mind to strengthen their defense – and it’s a name known in Belgium. It would in fact be Christ Makosso (21 years old), central defender of Luton Town.
The Congolese defender played at RWDM from January 2024 to January 2025, playing 23 matches for the Molenbeekois. At Luton Town, he was sidelined and did not play at all this season.
Makosso had a strong impression in Belgium. The Congo-Brazzaville international (5 caps) had signed until 2029 at Luton Town, in League One, and is valued at 800,000 euros on Transfermarkt.
