► The round of 16 began on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. with two matches opposing teams of different levels, a duel between Ligue 1 and a duel between Ligue 2. There were no surprises: Toulouse and Monaco qualified away, respectively to Angers on penalties and to Orléans (N). The leader of L2, Troyes knew how to manage its advantage and its numerical superiority in Bastia. Amiens emerged victorious from a match rich in goals at Montreuil (R1).

► Four matches are scheduled for 6 p.m., while the meeting between Sochaux and Lens has been postponed until Sunday 2 p.m., due to weather conditions.

SATURDAY’S MATCHES

► In Montreuil, the R1 club opened the scoring after 14 seconds, before being overwhelmed by the offensives of Amiens (L2) then scoring a second time (2-4).

► Orléans (National) – Monaco took time to unbridle, but saw three goals in the very last minutes, including a double from George Ilenikhena for the Principality club, finally qualified (3-1).

► L2 leader Troyes managed their trip to Corsica well against SC Bastia (2-0).

► Finally, it took penalties to decide between Angers and Toulouse, the Angevin Amine Sbaï having equalized at the very end of the match after the goal of Toulouse’s Santiago Hidalgo (1-1). Toulouse won 6-5 thanks to two saves from its Norwegian goalkeeper, Kjetil Haug.
