Rossi’s Brother: Honda Won’t Stop VR46 Academy Role

HONDA RACING CORPORATION

Honda HRC Castrol racer, Luca Marini

JUARA.NET – Honda racer Luca Marini dismissed the notion that being with his team longer would strain his relationship with the VR46 academy.

Luca Marini officially joined Honda for the 2024 MotoGP.

Valentino Rossi’s half-brother became a racer for the Honda factory team and helped in the development of the Japanese team’s motorbike.

After difficult years with Honda, Marini then received a contract extension for the 2026 season.

Even though his position may be threatened in the transfer market in the 2027 season, Marini seems committed to appearing with the Japanese team.

Apart from being committed to Honda, Marini also dismissed the notion that a longer stay with Honda could reduce his involvement with the VR46 academy.

Marini said that he could spend time with the academy racers at any time.

Moreover, fellow academy racers such as Marco Bezzecchi and Francesco Bagnaia are also in the factory team.

So they must also be busy and it’s not easy to find time to be together.
