CENTRAL Lombok – Valentino Rossi showed that his skills on a motorbike were still not lost when he tested the Mandalika International Circuit, Central Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), Thursday 29 January 2026. He was only 2 seconds behind Francesco Bagnaia.
The longing of Indonesian motorbike racing fans for the figure of Valentino Rossi has paid off a little. The living MotoGP legend visited the Mandalika Circuit with the VR46 Riders Academy children and the Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team this week.
1. Get off on a Yamaha motorbike
Initially, fans only thought that this time it was VR46 Riders Academy such as Bagnaia and Marco Bezzecchi and the VR46 Racing Team. Apparently, Rossi was in the group!
Even, The Doctor join in paving with his foster children. He rode a Yamaha YZF-R1 GYTR motorbike at the Mandalika Circuit on Thursday 29 January 2026 morning WIB.
It was Rossi’s first time trying out the Mandalika Circuit. Indonesia’s proud track has only just entered the 2022 MotoGP racing calendar when the living legend retires in November 2021.
In fact, Rossi has an extraordinary fan base in Indonesia. His presence is always looked forward to, even if it’s not for racing, including just accompanying his team at the Mandalika MotoGP.
