25 million euros, a huge property and years of construction! It was supposed to be the family home after Ronaldo’s retirement – but the superstar won’t move in. As several Portuguese media reports, the Portuguese and his partner Georgina want to sell the XXL villa in Quinta da Marinha – before the first suitcase is unpacked.
The villa is worth 25 million euros, but apparently it’s not enough to move in. The reason? Too little privacy. Ronaldo even wanted to buy an adjacent property from the luxury hotel “The Oitavos” in order to better protect himself – but the hotel refused. Apparently a no-go for the superstar with consequences.
Big trouble with neighbors
The mega-project caused trouble even during the construction period. “The house is so big that it looks like a hospital,” complained a neighbor, according to Look magazine. The road was closed for months, the garden was full of dust – there was great anger over Ronaldo’s XXL property. “And all of this just so that Pharaoh Ronaldo can build his pyramid,” said another resident.
After all: According to the celebrity portal “V+ Fama”, the luxury villa could be staged again – as a location for Ronaldo and Georgina’s wedding after the 2026 World Cup. Other reports, however, claim that the wedding will take place in Ronaldo’s hometown of Madeira – in the cathedral of Funchal, followed by a luxury celebration in a hotel.
