Scotti finished the first round in fourth place for goal difference after the away victory won by Pizzighettone on the Oleggio pitch. While Sangiorgese remains in the lead, Mazzoleni is in second place, two points behind, Social Osa Milano is third, then Scotti and Oleggio, the latter all on 20 points.

Tomorrow all eyes will be on the big match scheduled at PalaRavizza, where the top of the class will come to visit Pavia (ball at 6pm). Scotti will miss Penny Hidalgo and Matteo Ciocca.
«There was no match in the first leg – says winger William Wiltshire, 24 years old – it was the first day of the championship and for us it was a false start. It’s clear that first of all we want to make up for that bad defeat suffered in San Giorgio sul Legnano, then we want to continue with the positive things we’re doing at home, because our goal is to keep PalaRavizza clean.”

«It’s nice to see the stadium full and warm – says Scotti’s top scorer with over 17 points on average per game – our fans are the sixth man, that help that makes the difference at home, but as they did away with Marnatese. The public is a key to our successes, also thanks to the club that involves the fans, for our part we must win to ensure that they come in ever greater numbers. It’s wonderful to play in that arena and tomorrow it will be special against the top team.”

If Sangiorgese continued the first round along the lines of the match against Scotti, Pavia instead completely changed its face. «We have learned to know each other – explains Wiltshire –, this time it will be a different match and I think our opponents know it too. We are a different team, we know what our teammate can do and we will face this challenge with a different mentality, respect but no fear. They are the second best defense in the entire group, including away games, we have the best attack overall and third in terms of points scored at home. If we have talent in attack and we can always score 80 points, it’s clear that we have to make sure that we don’t suffer as many in defense.”
