Rossato wears out those who don’t have it. Time to pack your bags and close up the house, but by Thursday Riccardo Rossato should make himself available to coach Priftis and then make his debut in Udine on Sunday. The agreement with the guard born in ’96 leaving Trapani has been reached and for Pallacanestro Reggiana it is a great coup. Brescia also had strong interest in the player, but the technical project – lots of space today and even more next season – made the difference. The contract should run until June 2027, with an option for 2028. This, if confirmed, would also be excellent news from the perspective of building the future roster; with the now chronic shortage of Italians in our Serie A, securing a player of the caliber of Rossato is ‘worth double’.
189 cm tall and 85 kg, born in Venice on 18 September 1996, a grim defender, tireless competitor and excellent three-point shooter (43% last season, which closed with an average of 6.8 points in 16′) in the summer he was coach Pozzecco’s last cut to the national team.
He is therefore a reliable player who will be able to increase his playing time in the Una Hotels shirt, probably to the detriment of Woldentensae and partly Vitali.
In the meantime, the exclusion of Trapani from the championship is official and also the cancellation of the victories (and therefore the points) obtained against the Sharks.
A situation which obviously benefits Pallacanestro Reggiana (currently at 8 points) which ‘shortens’ the distances compared to Varese, Sassari (10) and Trento (12), Tortona (18) and Virtus (24).
