In the main duel of the opening day of the second round in group II, in which they measured second -Tudelano- against … first -Real Unión-, a great goal from Santi Miguélez in the 95th minute decided the contest for the Gipuzkoa team, which had been with one less player for twenty minutes due to the expulsion of De la Mata. The victory of Ramsés Gil’s team, sixth in a row, strengthens the leadership of the Irundarra squad and allows it to extend the advantage over a direct rival and with respect to second place, now occupied by Sestao.
From the opening whistle, the Guipuzcoan team wanted to take command. On his first approach, a cross from Javi Fontán narrowly missed Soroeta’s shot. Despite the intention to take the initiative, it was not easy against a Tudelano well planted on the grass. The Navarrese team responded with a shot from Javi Albín from the right that Naranjo finished off, forcefully, with a header. Equality marked a first half with few opportunities and, once it had passed the halfway mark, it entered a very difficult phase due to continuous interruptions.

The second half concentrated all the chances that were missing in the first half. In the 48th minute, the Irundarra squad took the lead in their first arrival after the break. Arruti’s shot hit the post, hit a defender and ended up in the back of the net. Tudelano reacted to the blow by taking a step forward and Alayeto forced a penalty when he fell inside the area. The forward of the Navarrese team himself took responsibility and deceived Tena from eleven meters.
The team led by Ramsés Gil chained together several dangerous arrivals. Unai García was close to scoring, although his shot went wide. The chance in the 60th minute was clearer, when Yoel left his area and Asier Pérez cleared between the sticks to prevent the goal. Shortly after, a corner taken by Hugo again forced Yoel to intervene with a good hand
As the minutes passed, the Navarrese team began to gain presence in the opposite field, a situation that was accentuated after the expulsion of De la Mata in the 74th minute for a double yellow card. Tudelano, encouraged by their fans, in the best entry of the season at Ciudad de Tudela, sought to unevent the match through lateral crosses and Bouguettaya, in one of them, connected with a header. The ball ended up in Tena’s hands.
Even when they were numerically inferior, the Irundarra team did not give up bidding for victory. In added time, when the 95th minute was running, Santi Miguélez impaled a ball from outside the area to send it into the top corner and silence Ciudad de Tudela with an authentic goal.
The next appointment for Real Unión in its defense of the leadership will be on Saturday, at 6:00 p.m., at the Stadium Gal against Basconia, a team located in the relegation zone and that tied on this day at home against Beasain.o text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text text]
