Puebla is preparing to become the heart of national and international sports during the spring of 2026. The entity will host three high-impact sporting events that will attract thousands of athletes and visitors, consolidating its position as a key destination for sports tourism in Mexico.
Calendar of sporting events in Puebla 2026
Gabriela Sánchez, Secretary of Youth and Sports of the state, announced that between April and May the following events will take place:
- Archery World Cup 2026
From April 7 to 12
Puebla will receive the best archers in the world in an international competition that will put the city in the global spotlight of Olympic sport. - CONADE 2026 National Olympiad
During the month of May
The entity will host 16 sports disciplines, bringing together young talents from all over the country in one of the most important amateur sports competitions in Mexico. - Mister Mexico 2026
From May 15 to 17
The Puebla Exhibition Center will host this bodybuilding event with the participation of more than 1,500 athletes and an estimated attendance of 10,000 people.

Secretary Gabriela Sánchez stressed that the State Government remains firmly committed to promoting sport as a tool to promote a healthier, more active and safer society. “Sport not only transforms bodies, it also transforms communities,” he stated.
These events not only position Puebla on the international sports map, but also represent an important economic benefit for the hotel, restaurant and service sectors. In addition, they strengthen the image of the city as an ideal destination for sports and convention tourism.
