PSV and RB Leipzig are discussing a transfer for Ayodele Thomas. Eindhovens Dagblad wrote this on Friday evening. Earlier in the day it was announced that the German club had the best credentials to acquire the top talent.
It ED announced on Friday morning the news of Thomas. The Germans have their sights set on the top talent, because the attacker can be picked up for a modest amount in the winter transfer period. Thomas has an expiring contract. PSV wanted to keep the eighteen-year-old attacker longer with a contract extension, but the winger does not seem to agree to that.
Discussions between both clubs have now started, the regional newspaper knows. ‘For the record: Thomas’ transfer to RB Leipzig is not yet one hundred percent complete. PSV and the German club are negotiating a buyout sum and are trying to reach an agreement,” it said. ‘Thomas has an expiring contract and wants to make the move to Leipzig this winter. If that doesn’t work, he will leave next summer.’
Until this season, Thomas has made a great impression at Jong PSV in the Kitchen Champion Division. The winger has scored three times and provided six assists in eighteen matches so far.
