bali.jpnn.comYOGYAKARTA – PSIM Yogyakarta coach Jean Paul van Gastel spoke after Laskar Mataram lost to Persebaya in the 18th match at the Sultan Agung Stadium, Bantul, Sunday (25/1).
PSIM Yogyakarta did not move after Cahya Supriadi’s goal was hit by three goals from Persebaya players, namely by Gali Freitas in the 35th minute, Bruno Paraiba in the 74th minute and Rachmat Irianto in the 84th minute.
This defeat was painful because PSIM Yogyakarta tried to continue the positive trend when they clashed against Persebaya.
In the first leg at the GBT Stadium, Surabaya, PSIM won against Persebaya with a narrow score of 1 – 0.
“I think in the first half we played quite well and we knew that Persebaya was just waiting for us to make a mistake.
However, I felt that on the first goal our position was not good,” said Jean Paul van Gastel as quoted by I.League.
Being left behind by one goal in the first half forced PSIM Yogyakarta players to play more openly in search of an equalizer.
However, this tactic actually became a continuing disaster for Laskar Mataram.
