The day after their victory against Paris FC (2-1), Luis Enrique’s men stayed warm and avoided the heavy snowfall this Monday on the lawns of the PSG Campus. The Spanish coach had granted his players a day of rest after their first meeting of 2026. The second arrives very quickly, from Thursday evening (7 p.m.), with a Champions Trophy to be played in Kuwait against Olympique de Marseille.
Marquinhos’ partners are determined to obtain their first title of the year, to win the 14th Champions Trophy in the history of PSG and to take their revenge against the Phocaeans against whom they fell on September 22 in Ligue 1 at the Vélodrome (1-0).
Return to Paris immediately after the match
Preparation for this second clasico of the season will begin in earnest this Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. with training planned in Poissy. After this session, the entire squad will head to Kuwait at the start of the afternoon for an arrival scheduled for the evening. The Parisians will train one last time on the pitch at Jaber Al-Ahmad Stadium on Wednesday at 5 p.m. (7 p.m. local time). A press conference will precede this training session, which is entirely open to the media.
The European champions will not stay in Kuwait forever as they will return to the capital immediately after the match against OM. They will travel during the night from Thursday to Friday for an arrival scheduled for the morning in Paris. Luis Enrique will have to do without the services of Matvey Safonov (left hand), Kang-in Lee (left thigh) and Quentin Ndjantou (right thigh). Achraf Hakimi and Ibrahim Mbaye, CAN quarter-finalists with Morocco and Senegal, will also be missing.
