Sad atmosphere to be expected this Friday evening, for what promises to be a shock at the top of Ligue 1 between Paris Saint-Germain (2nd) and Lille (4th).
While the Auteuil stand, that of the Parisian ultras, was partially closed for the meeting, the visitor parking lot should also be very quiet. This Friday morning, Losc announced that the “vast majority of (its) supporters’ associations have informed the Club of its choice to boycott this trip”.
The reason? A gauge set at only 500 spectators in the parking lot and security measures deemed “excessive” by the northern club.
A police escort imposed by the prefecture
“In addition, the supporters concerned had to be escorted by the police to the Parisian enclosure, within the exclusive framework of a trip organized via collective transport,” specifies Losc in a press release published this Friday morning.
Lille will therefore not have wanted to experience the same misfortune as their rivals – but nevertheless neighbors – Lensois, who were heckled at the Parc des Princes last September and who, for the majority, left the stadium at half-time.
As for the gauge imposed by the police headquarters, the number of 500 represents, underlines Losc, “a threshold much lower than the actual capacity of the visitors’ area of the Parc des Princes as well as the provisions provided for by the LFP regulations”.
“The Club recalls that a thousand Parisian supporters were able to make the opposite trip during the reception of Paris Saint-Germain at the beginning of October, without this compromising the safety of the public or giving rise to notable incidents,” add the Lille residents.
