PSG Judo: Champions Honored at Parc des Princes

Under the applause of the Parc des Princes, the Parisian fighters presented their European champions trophy to the public, a few minutes before the match kicked off. Faiza Mokdar (-57 kg), Priscilla Gneto (-57 kg), Marie-Ève Gahié (-70 kg), Romane Dicko (+70 kg), Joan-Benjamin Gaba (-73 kg), Rayane Ascofare (-90 kg) et Alexis Mathieu (-90 kg) received a warm ovation from the supporters, alongside their coaches Baptiste Leroy and Arnaud Gendre.

At the end of November, Paris Saint-Germain Judo distinguished itself on the continental scene by winning, for the second year in a row, the Champions League in a format bringing together female and male athletes. After winning their first two confrontations 4-0, the mixed team of the Red and Blue delegation won in the final of the competition against the Serbian club Judo Club Red Star of Belgrade (4-2) thanks to points won by Romane Dicko (+70 kg), Faiza Mokdar (-57 kg), Joan-Benjamin Gaba (-73 kg) and Marie-Ève Gahié.

This new coronation constitutes the fourth European title for the club’s judo section, after that of the men’s team in 1995, that of the women’s team in December 2023 in Belgrade (Serbia), as well as the collective victory during the penultimate edition contested in Montpellier (France) for the very first time in the mixed team format. A success which testifies to the remarkable progress of the section since the relaunch of Paris Saint-Germain Judo in 2017.

By celebrating its judokas at the Parc des Princes, Paris Saint-Germain reaffirms that excellence is expressed in each of its disciplines. Driven by values of passion, high standards and surpassing oneself, the club has established itself as a reference and a source of inspiration for new generations, well beyond the sporting field.
