Pritchard Leads Celtics to Win Over Kings: 29 Points | AP News

BOSTON (AP) — Payton Pritchard scored 29 points, Baylor Scheierman added 16 and the Boston Celtics cruised to a 112-93 victory over the Sacramento Kings on Friday.

Neemias Queta added ten points and 15 rebounds to the cause of the Celtics, who recovered from the home loss suffered on Wednesday against Atlanta. Pritchard and Scheierman combined to make 9 of 13 shots from 3-point range, while Derek White had nine assists.

Zach LaVine scored 17 points for Sacramento, which has lost eight straight and was playing for the second straight night. Nique Clifford added 15 points.

Pritchard had 22 points and eight assists in two quarters for the Celtics, who held a commanding 72-46 lead entering the second half. Boston opened the game by making its first five shots and was 8 of 10 en route to a 15-point lead after the first quarter.

Sacramento fell to 3-22 on the road and 0-5 on its six-visit road trip.

Members of the New England Patriots, brand new champions of the American Conference, appeared on the TD Garden video screen during a couple of timeouts in the first half. Colombian cornerback Christian Gonzalez sat next to the scorer’s table, while DeMario Douglas, Jaylinn Hawkins, Craig Woodson and Kyle Williams were also present.
