Premier League Goals: Brobbey, Summerville, Van de Ven & City’s Comeback

The Dutch in the Premier League showed themselves on Saturday afternoon. Crysencio Summerville, Brian Brobbey and Mickey van de Ven managed to find the net.

Brobbey and Summerville did this in the match between West Ham United and Sunderland (3-1) and Van de Ven was accurate for Tottenham Hotspur, while the team barely drew at relegation candidate Burnley.

Tottenham Hotspur is in a difficult phase. The team has only managed to win one of the last seven Premier League matches. Trainer Thomas Frank recently received help from the appointed assistant trainer John Heitinga to turn the tide, but that did not work on Saturday.

Van de Ven opened the score from a deflected corner kick, but then Burnley (19th) took over the match. Two goals were canceled out in the final minute by captain Cristian Romero, who thus prevented a defeat.

Another Dutchman in the match between West Ham United and Sunderland, Robin Roefs, had a less successful afternoon. He had to fish in London after about fifteen minutes. Summerville headed in the opening goal, it was his second Premier League goal of the season.

Jarrod Bowen and Mateus Fernandes scored 2-0 and 3-0 before half-time. Brobbey, who scored his third goal in four games, returned the favor with a header.

But Sunderland didn’t get any further. Lutsharel Geertruida remained on the bench for the entire match in this match.

Manchester City won 2-0 at home against Wolverhampton Wanderers, the latter in the Premier League. Nathan Aké and Tijjani Reijnders were in the starting line-up, but were not involved in the goals.

That was new signing Antoine Semenyo. He scored his first goal for Manchester City, which recovered from the defeat in the city derby against Manchester United last week.
