West Ham United are considering making a bid for Ricardo Pepi. That reports AS Diary. The 23-year-old PSV striker is in the keen interest of Fulham, which may now face competition from the city rival.
Fulham also wanted to strengthen themselves with Pepi last summer, who then stayed with PSV. The Cottagers are working on the American again this month. The people of Eindhoven are not eager for Pepi to leave and are only willing to cooperate with an offer of approximately forty million euros. So far the English have not come close to that asking price.
West Ham therefore sees an opportunity to join the battle for Pepi. The Hammers said goodbye to Niclas Füllkrug (loaned to AC Milan) this winter and strengthened themselves with Taty Castellanos from Lazio and Pablo Felipe Pereira de Jesus from Gil Vicente, but the club management wants to bring in more players to maintain themselves in the Premier League.
That is good news for PSV: if Fulham and West Ham start bidding against each other, Pepi’s final transfer fee will only increase. In any case, it will be exciting days in Eindhoven.
