Pickleball Clinic De Hoekstee: Success Story

Many people from Hoekje walked into the sports hall of De Hoekstee on Friday afternoon to play a game of pickleball without obligation under the guidance of certified trainers Rick and Elly.

Combination sport

This sport – a combination of tennis, badminton, table tennis and squash – is suitable for almost all ages, from young people to seniors. This was also evident from the enthusiasm. On one field, children of about 10 years old were playing a match, while on the court next to it, people in their seventies were skipping the plastic ball.

Coming and going

During the afternoon, dozens of people walked in to try out this new sport. There was a coming and going of people who wanted to see how pickleball works. Many participants have already said that they enjoyed the game so much that they would like to do it again. Who knows, we might be able to play this more often in De Hoekstee!

Employees of Welzijn op de Hoek have inventoried the enthusiasm for this. There may be a follow-up to this clinic. Keep an eye on the socials of Welzijn op de Hoek for this!
The pickleball clinic was made possible by a collaboration between Welzijn op de Hoek and Sportbedrijf Rotterdam.
